I. Program Description: The Mental Health Rehabilitation Services Program
provides services to assist children with emotional behavioral disorders overcome
the functional deficits associated with chronic psychiatric disabilities. This
program provides interventions which mediate the negative effects of illness
and assists individuals achieve and maintain a repertoire of adaptive behaviors
necessary for successful functioning in the community.
II. Program Objective: The Mental Health Rehabilitation Services Program
goal is to improve the individual's/family's functional skills and environmental
resources that will enable them to be successful and satisfied in daily living
environments of their choice with no more professional intervention than is necessary.
