Option For Independence's Adult Services Program employees follow the policies
and procedures set forth in the Options For Independence main policy manual in
addition to those set forth in this program-specific manual.

Mission Statement:
24-Hour On-Call Coverage:
Adult Services maintains
a 24-hour on-call system
and has the capacity
to provide 24-hour face-to-face
services. Business hours
are between 8 am and
5 pm Monday through
Friday. All staff carry
pagers and can be contacted
directly by the consumer.
Consumers are given
staff pager numbers
upon intake. During
business hours, if a
consumer calls the Options
office, staff can be
contacted by telephone
or pager. Face-to-face
support is provided
whenever necessary during
a 24-hour period. Back-up
support is provided
to the staff by the
Adult Services Supervisor.
Options for Independence
has instructions on
voice mail that give
consumers directions
to follow in the case
of an emergency. Consumers
are educated by staff
on how to access emergency
service, both during
and after business hours.
